Absolutely Kosher writes: We're very excited about the release of the self-titled debut by Summer at Shatter Creek on January 28th. SASC is one Craig Gurwich, a resident of Los Angeles by way of Kalamazoo, MI. He's been sending us demos for a year and a half and they just kept getting better and better, real sweet and warm and intriguing. His voice is what you'll notice first, a gorgeous and graceful high tenor rivaling Jeff Buckley or Thom Yorke. Then you'll pick up on the arrangements of his songs, full of colorful swashes of organ and highly creative sonic nuance, as well as the tunes themselves, like campfire songs at the side of the highway or the rebirth of the AM band.
