Drawing influences from Leonard Cohen, Donovan, Ween, Astrud Gilberto, Beck, Nick Drake, and Steve Malkmus,The Bother fuses finely crafted melodies with well conceived lyrics resulting in songs that will leave you happy, sad, and at times tapping your toes. A Connecticut native, William Rahilly moved to the San Francisco area from New York in 2001. When asked what inspired him to move here, this is what he had to say: "After being poisoned in New York stereo by gas and girlfriend, I decided I needed to burrow my focus in a place where anonymity and static weather are built in.
